Here I am once again with another trilogy of terror, three horror news stories to curdle your blood. Ok, maybe not, but will have three stories about horror themed things soon to be releasing that may be worth your time. Onwards to the news!
From the ridiculous title alone I had to include this first piece of news. Scarecrows of the Third Reich comes from writer and director Troy Fritz, and stars Timothy Mantis and Diamond Troy Justice. The synopsis states that at the end of WWII, Hitler ordered 'Operation Scarecrow' at a small SS outpost. Seventy years later, an FBI agent learns about the shocking secret of the operation, and ends up at the lost outpost battling '...the remnant Scarecrows of the Third Reich'. This sounds ridiculous, but part of me does want to see what on Earth this is all about! This is available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime and came to AVOD platforms on 26th November.
Period horror Fright has got a digital release on Amazon Prime. Shot in black and white and written and directed by Dudley Warren, this indie horror features an isolated woman suffering chronic agoraphobia in 1930's Britain. Trapped in a sprawling mansion due to her condition and a domineering mother, the woman is sent to the brink of madness, with salvation maybe only in the form of her missing father.
Finally for today, an Indiegogo campaign is currently running to get funds to complete horror film Avery. This psychological thriller sees the seemingly innocent daughter of a serial killer getting placed with a foster family, but it seems her father's legacy might have affected her too. There are the usual series of perks for contribution to the Indiegogo campaign. Currently (at the time of typing) it has raised £76 of its £25,290 goal with 26 days to go. For more information check out the Indiegogo page here.
