The best laid plans of mice and men. I am quite hungover today (at the time of writing) and so my blog output has been less than I had hoped it to be. Plus I have Baldur's Gate 3 waiting to be played but feel too rough to do that just yet.
Jason Impey's thriller Home Made has been released on the streaming platform Plex by VIPCO and Bayview Entertainment. As well as being written and directed by Impey, he also stars in this, alongside Matthew Verity and Sarah Gardner. The film is about a filmmaker who is trying to create the ultimate snuff film. He ends up being caught, but he has hidden away two new victims for his twisted film.
Cinephobia have announced that British thriller The Latent Image is due to get a DVD and VOD/streaming release on September 12th. Directed by Alexander McGregor Birrell, this is a feature length adaptation of his award winning 2019 short film of the same name. Back in February I gave this a respectable score of 7/10, saying "...I enjoyed my time with this, and certainly found it worth a watch".
Finally for today, the official poster for horror film The Clock has been released. This comes from indie writer and director Rick Danford, and is about a couple who get launched into untold terror after purchasing an antique grandfather clock that carries with it a malevolent force. In a neat twist, the movie was filmed in a reportedly haunted house in Brooksville.
